All-on-4 Dental Implants

If you are missing most or all of your teeth and have significant jawbone loss, you may have been told implant dentures are not an option.

There is a solution. We can replace an entire arch of missing teeth in a single appointment with All-on-4®.

Find out why All-on-4 with Drs. Shahram Navid and Tom McDuffee is so popular at our dental practice in Peabody, MA.

So What Is All-on-4? An Innovative Tooth Replacement Solution

Before the introduction of the All-on-4 method, patients would need six to eight implants per arch for a full implant-supported denture. The All-on-4 technique, developed by Nobel Biocare®, involves just four implants per jaw.

Our dentists strategically insert two angled implants at the back of the dental arch and two at the front to maximize contact with the remaining jawbone. As a result, many patients who would require bone grafting procedures or do not qualify for traditional treatment can enjoy all the advantages of life with implant dentures.

Implant Candidacy

Our Peabody, MA, dentists will first meet with you for a consultation to discuss your All-on-4 candidacy. Treatment may be right for you if:

  • You're missing most or all of your teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
  • You do not qualify for traditional dental implants because of bone loss.
  • You're healthy enough to undergo surgery.
  • You're free of periodontal disease and are in good oral health.
  • You do not smoke or use tobacco products.

The All-on-4 Treatment Process

Both Dr. Navid and Dr. McDuffee are trained and experienced in advanced restorative dentistry and can provide every step of your dental implant treatment at our Peabody practice. Here is what to expect during your procedure:
All-on-4 patients can have the entire treatment completed in a single office visit.

Anesthesia

On the day of your implant surgery, we begin by numbing your mouth with local anesthesia. If you prefer, we can administer additional sedation to ensure your comfort.

Implants

Once you are relaxed, we make small incisions in the gums and carefully position the implants in the jawbone. Our dentists use a guided surgery technique to ensure precision and maximize your chances of successful implantation.

Tooth Restoration

With this innovative technique, we can provide same-day temporary restorations by attaching an implant-supported denture in the same appointment as dental implant surgery. Once patients have fully healed, four to six months later, a permanent denture will be provided.

Is All-on-4 Worth It?

All-on-4 denture

While All-on-4 treatment is typically more expensive than other restorations, like traditional dentures, it is important to consider the long-term value. Dental implants last a lifetime for many patients and can help you avoid costly and extensive restorative procedures in the future.

Our Peabody practice strives to make dental treatment as affordable as possible by offering in-house membership plans as well as financing through LendingClub®. If you have any questions about the cost of treatment, send us a message online or schedule a consultation with our dentists today.
